Tee Box has been created to make golf more accessible and enjoyable, regardless of Dunedin’s weather. Our goal is simple: to create a welcoming indoor golf facility where everyone, from beginners to seasoned players, can come and play, practice and have a great time with their friends and family.

Tim Horton
CO-FOUNDER
I have always had a passion for sport, innovation, and technology, so creating Tee Box has utilised all of my skills, which has been a great experience. I am excited to finally share this place with everyone and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
I initially came up with the idea for Tee Box when my flatmate and I were heading out to play a round of golf. However, when we arrived, the rain had settled in and we couldn’t play. We were left thinking what now? Ideas started flowing and I said “I wish we had an indoor centre to play at” and the rest was history as they say!
Riley Murrell
GOLF ASSOCIATE
I'm a fourth-year student here at the University of Otago, where I'm diving into the exciting world of finance. Outside of my studies I find my spare time partaking in activities involving sport or being sociable.
When I'm not absorbed in lectures or out playing sports, you'll find me at Tee Box, where I enthusiastically contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of our amazing golf simulators. It's more than just a job; it's a chance to merge my passion for business and sports while creating memorable moments for our visitors.
I am pleased to say that I have been welcomed by a fantastic team since starting in February 2024. So when you find yourself at Tee Box during our opening hours feel free to approach me with any questions or simply sharing fantastic stories. I look forward to meeting you all.
Thomas O’Connor

I am a second year Civil Engineering student at Otago Polytechnic here in Dunedin. Outside of my studies, I have a strong passion for sport and physical activity. Hence, my desire to work here at Tee Box.
Throughout my life, I’ve always enjoyed meeting and making connections with new and different people. Tee Box provides an excellent opportunity for me to do this, which is why I get excited for my shift at work every week.
I’ve been fortunate enough to work here since February of 2024. Already I’ve met plenty of new and interesting people that have allowed me to develop my personal skills and extend my relationships with a wider group of people.

I am a year 13 student at John McGlashan College. Outside of school I have a heavy interest in a range of sports and most importantly golf.
When the opportunity came to get on the Tee Box team I had no choice but to snap it up. I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting and engaging with new people. I have also had a lot of fun getting to know what these awesome simulators we have here are capable of.
What makes Tee Box such a great place is that it caters for everyone. No matter the skill level or experience everyone is welcome to come, have a whack, grab some snacks, and have a beer.

I am a first year university student here at Otago. When I'm not studying hard on the books I have a passion for getting out and playing sport and physical activity which is why when the opportunity to jump on board with the Tee Box crew came about I knew it would be an awesome experience.
I've always been told I had a talent for talking too much so Tee Box has been a great place to meet new people and make new connections. I've been fortunate enough to work here since February 2024 and have already made connections with new and old friends which have helped me develop a wider friendship throughout the community.
